A close friend of mine that I work with rebuilt his 6.0 right about a year ago. Used mahle lifters and had one fail at about 5,000 miles. One ear that holds the roller broke and took out the motor again.

Those are a life saver, matco has them as well in a kit with about 10 different sizes. They work wonders on hydraulic lines that have been tightened a bit to much too lol

The reliability part comes from them being a basic gear pump in my opinion. Step up to a piston style pump and the reliability issues would go away.

Cody Gorman also has a compound reg cab 6.7, I believe he bought it from morgan.

I never had issues with my fuelab, 55 PSI for over 5 yrs now. If you want stock reliability run a single 6.7 psd pump.

70 PSI is not needed what so ever, 55 PSI is all you need.

No issues without a ball valve. Wire the pump to run half speed. Run HEAVY gauge power wire I believe I ran 10 GA on my setup for the power supply. Use the factory power supply wire to power a separate relay for the fuelab pump.

Cat wouldn't have a 2 micron that small, you'd have to run the filters down on the frame as they wouldn't fit in the engine bay. I don't think cat even has a 2 micron anyway. All their common rail equipment runs 3 filters. One water separator then 2 fuel filters which i believe are a 4 micron...
