I just cut the existing exhaust in the straight sections before and after the bends..... added what 5" straight sections I needed and welded it back together using the existing bends.

Ran a 5" to 6" dump on my Dury.... It was a 5" MBRP that I cut up from the muffler delete back and welded in the bends needed to make it dump over the center of the axle. 6" x 18" double wall tip so you couldn't see the pipe. 10" on 40's makes it easy to see under the truck
At 3am on a weekday, the roads are pretty empty. Avg was just under that..... truck didn't like it. Lost two injectors and ate the turbo. Expensive trip.
Baker grade..... its a bitch with a big load. Its also only a few miles from Death Valley so the ambient temps don't help either. Glad to hear you made it without trouble.

Mine was a 2wd dually originally, some guy converted it to a 4wd SRW. Did a hokey job of mounting the front axle. Track bar hangs off one of the original TTB mounts...doesn't do ****. Truck wanders pretty bad.
