    The tps has 3 the idle validation switch is the other 2...easiest way is stick a multimeter in the pins and hit the pedal...if voltage rises you got the right wire...the tach signal is going to come off the cps...easiest place is in the harness right on top of drivers fender like Steve said...

    Find some one with a good scan tool, that can buzz the injectors.... your going to have one that sounds different I am pretty sure then you have a direction to go..... But until you can have a good scan tool to pull codes, and run a buzz and contribution, your shooting in the dark....

    sad thing is if the buzz came up bad on one injector.... you didn't have to replace the injector just the solenoid... could have saved some coin if you hit us up first.... but congrats on getting it fixed.

    You need to have Jody flash it to a manual pcm code and the pcm won't care .

    Call wide open performance... they can answer everything for you...I do all the tuning for the race vehicles, and can help you out if needed...but yes complete standalone. And manual trans pcm...leave the factory shifter and their harness makes it almost plug and play.

    IPR will do nothing.... white smoke =fuel.... put a known set of good injectors in the truck and I would bet the issues go away.

    a good quality scan tool can run a test called a "buzz" test this will fire all the injectors solenoids, then one at a time you can hear them fire, if one sounds really really weak then that is your culprit. you need someone with auto enginuity, a ford scan tool, and tool truck scanner, or scan...

    buzz the injectors , no reason to pull the valve covers ,if they don't buzz the valve cover harnesses are bad ....if they do buzz then you need some injectors you are definitely down a hole , or two.

    I think your right tom... also remember a nozzle increase no matter how small will make some difference in pressure....or... just a weak pump...

    check for oil in the icp sensor... 2200 is the default off the top of my head....on edit... swap sensors from truck to truck... see if it changes. Then next thought is weak spring, or broken spring internally in the pump.... happens more than you would realize..... truck will still run fine.

    next time this happens, disconnect the icp sensor... Sorry man sounds like a biased one to me... would also explain different than normal readings you have been having....it will default and throw a check engine light but I would bet it will fire right up.

    FYI to clear up the last few posts... The t-500 is far from a stock pump.. I would beg to bet that the internals have been modified just as much as most of the "other" stock replacement units...and probably flows just as much if not more than most.... the old modded 17* was stock internals...
