Can this be made redundant and filed? I'm basically looking for a real race tune. Something that encompasses every shift and tc lockup. A precisely controled rpm shift table.

That's what I'm afraid of. A reliable friend has suggested a 4R100. But that requires a controler. It'd be going in a 5spd truck so there'd be no conflict with that pcm but the cost might make this undoable. Darn OBS's !!!!!! LOL

There are settings that control shift by WOT RPM and MPH.

If it is going in a 5spd then the controller is the best option. The pcs that many of us use is the best thing out there for the 4r100 IMO.. and yes when I tell it to do something it does it....sometimes to well.... :)

remember your going to have to buy the harness from ford to work with the new trans and pcm anyways... when you add that into the mix... the pcs aint that much more and the harness is already prewired ready to go for the pcs from them.....

Give Jacob at WOP a call he can set you up with everything you need....one other thing it will gain you the ability to have a data logger for all the above...
