    Why?

I would be interested in how much gain there would be on a stock turbo and stock fuel if empire does make them. Based on the results that we have seen on the aftermarket exhaust manifolds I imagine there would be some pretty good results.

    Why?

There was some noise about someone making Billet heads but I haven't heard of anything in a while. Not sure what they would run but I would be very interested.

    Why?

Really? I did not know that. Learn something new everyday. I wonder why they have issues?

Right. But with all of the tuning capabilities on the 5r you have more ability to write a tune that could tear up the clutches only pretty quick by the way it shifts and when and all that good stuff? Yeah you can tear anything up but on the old E4OD I think you could spot out blatant abuse...

    Why?

I agree but I would have to think that there have been some that have had issue's even in stock form. By no means is it a wide spread problem but we probably never hear about it since no one, or very little, comes on these forums with a 100% stock form truck. Only time will tell on how many HG...

This is what I was thinking while reading through all the pages in this thread. Honestly I don't see how anyone can give a lifetime warranty on something that someone else has the ability to control. For that matter I don't see how Elite gives the warranty they do...... I believe it is 10k mi...

    Why?

I imagine that if we spent some time on the Dmax forums we would hear about some CP3 failures. My question is if it is the failure rate is substantially lower than our K16 pump. I think we can all agree that they sell quite a few more powerstrokes than Dmax so yeah you are probably going to hear...

This is how a motor build begins

Wow. Like you said I am amazed that it still ran. I am surprised that the pieces that broke off didn't cause issues when it broke off.

    Why?

I thought the K16's were supposed to be pretty good as far as reliability. Once again someone speak up if I am incorrect in these next few statements. I thought that the guys that were having K16 issues stem from the LPFP not doing its job correctly. Something along the lines of there was a...

Any hope for a reliable single pump?

It would be a really good deal for us guys that want a little more fuel to sustain good rail pressure on bigger tunes to have a modified stock pump that is affordable. I know that might be unrealistic but we can always hope right?

    Why?

I agree! Like I said no other truck can do what ours can with a simple tune, intake and exhaust. It has just been my understanding, and I could be completely wrong on this, that the CP3 pump is a better all around pump. Some have said that the K16 is a better pump in stock form..... i honestly...

    Why?

Gotcha. If I remember correctly the bore is bigger than the stroke on a Dmax. So with the little bit bigger displacement on the Dmax and the bore to stroke ratio is substantial enough to call for 33% more cfm than what we have? Once again I am asking the question not trying to sound like a smart...

    Why?

Interesting and that makes sense. Since you sound like you know what you are talking about why do you think the duramax has such a higher CFM than we do? They make about the same amount power as us and they get better MPG's which would lead me to believe that they are not losing velocity, swirl...
  14. 7

    Why?

I would think so on the emissions. I would really like to see what kind of better MPG's we would be getting with a better flowing head (180 cfm) and more free flowing exhaust manifolds. If anyone reading this hasn't seen the results that they got from the Steed Speed exhaust manifolds, look it...

That is EXACTLY what I remember reading....... wow it was worse than I remember.

    Why?

#1 That makes sense. I find it funny that there for the longest time guys were saying they didn't want a diesel because of how loud they were. Now guys complain that a diesel motor doesn't sound like a diesel motor any more lol. #2 I disagree. The heads to flow perfectly fine for 325 hp. But I...

I am assuming that they have been working well with all of the different tunes out there?
  18. 7

    Why?

Quite possibly. Like I said half of my email was to check my logic. Maybe the deal is that the CP3 pump is easier to modify? I believe I heard you can modify a CP3 pump to flow way more than stock.

    Why?

Let me start of with I absolutely love my 6.4. It is by far the best truck I have ever had and I have had all of the powerstrokes starting with the IDI. With that said I continually find myself wondering why the folks that engineered and designed the 6.4 did some of the things they did. I...
