Is HPFP leak into motor possible

I never did get a seal found. But didn't try very hard as I went to dual pumps after it happened. Be careful pulling the gear, the bolt that holds it is left hand thread. Seen a few guys snap that bolt off trying to get it out by turning it the wrong way.

    800+rwhp 1995 Ford F350 6.7 Cummins Turbo Diesel

Man can't believe Maddog sold that truck. I hope someone who knows what that truck is buys it. Hate to see some dumb kid tear that thing up. Glws wish I could buy it.

600 HP with the DPF on?

I think all the control is there to make it happen. Gonna take some fine tuning. But I think soot load can be handled to where it won't be too hard on the dpf.

failure points of 700 - 900 hp trucks

The biggest issues I've seen with high hp trucks that get alot of mileage are leaks. Exhaust manifold bolts backing out, blown exhaust manifold gaskets. Boost leaks over time from high boost applications. Other thing is these highly modified trucks have alot of extra stuff that wasnt...

    Update on my rig

Also I wouldn't be so hard on dan. He seems to do a good job. Running these bigger power trucks on a dyno that you've never seen before can be hard. They gain rpm so fast sometimes you can't get out of it fast enough if your not ready for it. And at an event you might run a 300hp first gen...

    Update on my rig

I could set it to 4k but it begins pulling fuel before that to stop at 4k. I could adjust that to. But I've never been a fan of making it a hard stop limiter. I would rather it pulled fuel gradually to hit the limiter. Like Nathaniel said it will handle the rpms so it's set at 4500 and begins...

    Update on my rig

Being as peak power is around 3600 there is no point in running past 4k. The tune he ran was built for nitrous. Just decided to get more time on it before spraying and seeing what it will do.

    Update on my rig

I'm not saying change the turbo. I'm saying change the exhaust housing

    Update on my rig

Well I was wrong on that I guess. My point is two different setup engines with different tuning, netting a 50ish horse power difference doesn't seem to off to me. Mal and Shone's were 100% identical setups ran with the exact same mcc tuning by me. ran on the same dyno and made almost 50hp...

    Update on my rig

And when tadd made 900 with those chargers he had alot larger injector and a very large cam in it that he was testing. So even that's not really comparable.

    Update on my rig

It wasn't ideal in my head it was ideal because it worked. I think we're getting at the same thing. If you change that housing and change how your gating is done. I think you will see an increase. The first pull with mals max powers was 740hp. I came up with that ideal setup through hours of...

    Update on my rig

Both of they're trucks had bigger housings, with different atmosphere chargers, both had different vgt turbos, both had ported heads. And both have the gating dumping to atmosphere instead of into the hot pipe. When I had they're trucks dumping to the hot pipe I never could get great power...

True but your total boost isn't where his is. Your really comparing apples to oranges.

    Update on my rig

Just buy the same 88 as Erik and convert yours to remote mount jd. I think you'd like it

    Update on my rig

The theory works on all trucks. What the exact number is for each platform varies. I've never tuned a 6.0 so I'm not sure where that number is.
