On side of the road, no start

I think it is supposed to be within an inch of the top, check how much oil you have in the engine. If it gets low enough the truck will not run, though I am not sure how much you would have to lose, probably a gallon or two.

    auto to zf6

Here you go http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27143 and another read about transmission choice, even though it was about 7.3's it can still apply since it has gone kind of off topic and now just about covers every transmission ever made apparently...

    Never Balance tires again

I never said put it in the valve cores, but if it is in the tires and you check the air it will get into the core. Now maybe it is finer than the beads and won't get stuck in the core and if that is the case then it would be better.

    Never Balance tires again

I have that in the tires on my work truck and it is ok. Only problems are when you check the air in the tires and the beads get stuck in the valve core and you have to pull the core to clear it. It also doesn't seem to help at 70 mph+ when the rims are packed with mud, which is about 99.9% of...

    Cruise Control as High Idle?

I don't see why Ford didn't do this from the factory. On my work truck, which is a '12 5500 all you have to do is put it in park, hit on and then set and it goes to 900 rpm. Then use resume and it will go up to 2000 rpm. My old work truck with a 5.9 was similar. It is rather nice when idling...

    Slave cylinder installation

Take it off the trans and get the rod in the dimple of the clutch fork, then push on the cylinder itself until you can get it to slide into the mount.

    Slave cylinder installation

With the cap off the master, the rod should push in without too much effort though if you let go it will come back out rather quickly. Once you have it pushed in, put the rod into the dimple in the fork and then you can push against the back of the cylinder itself. I got mine wedged in crooked...

    Slave cylinder installation

Clutch fork looks right, there is a dimple for the rod to sit in. I just put mine in a few minutes ago and it went in easier than I remember. Make sure you have the cap off the master and wrap a few rags around it to soak up any overflow. I just pushed the rod in with the heel of my right palm...

    Slave cylinder installation

Never thought of that, it may gain a little room which is better than nothing. Can't hurt to try.

    Slave cylinder installation

Push really hard. Also remove the master cylinder cap and get some fluid out so when you depress the rod it does not overflow. That is about all I can remember from doing it last summer, but luckily for me I had to remove it last night to get the oil cooler out, so i'll be putting it back on...
