03' 6.0 no start need input

2003 drw 2wd auto. Co-workers truck says it WILL Only start when spraying ether into. Suggestions anyone (besides not spraying the ether)

No I have not. I was lost and isn't know why it would start with ether only. I was just looking at fuel problems that's all I have checked. Getting fuel filters good.

Scan for codes. It could be an ICP issue, do you have any way to monitor ICP psi when cranking? Needs to see 500 psi to fire.

I don't have a way to check the psi, but I'm sure I could come up with something.

Pull the oil filter and cap. See if the oil level rises when someone cranks engine over. If not, low pressure oil pump is trashed

could also be the gpcm.... glow plug control module.....

Thanks Webb ill seen if that gives us any results. I have not been able to check the icp psi or the voltage on the FICM yet he had obligations with family. Once he's free we'll get right to work. Thank you for all the replies I know it's not much info to work with.
