So if there is anyone out there to help me. I bought a grille for an 08f250 and theres a bar that goes horizontal at the bottom of the grille across the grille supports (the walrus teeth.) I cant find this bar on any diagram or anywhere at an trucks parts place... Anyone got a busted grille with that still on it? I just need the bar.

Same position as you, not available from Ford for my 6.4 at least. We have to hit scrap yards or tomorrow I am going to mock up some raw steel and see if I can make it work.

I will check that grille I have for it and can send it to you. But I don't remember that piece.

If someone can even tell me how thick the stock one is that would be great too, I tossed it since mine was mangled and didn't think I couldn't order it again :S

test fit mine today, looks like just some straight bar and new bolts "should" hold it, going to try and look at another one this week.

Haha nice :) Glad I could help. This one is a Paramount grill, same chinese crap as a eAutoGrill which is way cheaper in the US, you can get one to your door under $200 I bet.

Just realized that you have the little mirrors any reason you didn't go with the tow mirrors?

I bought the truck used, the little ****ers are useless and coming off ASAP, towing was a bitch last year with them. I have been stalling as I have thought about a full power retrofit (my XL is SUPER base model, manual windows/locks/etc..) but have decided against it as I watch Ford actuators and crap around me all day fall apart, I will just go aftermarket door locks and leave the windows as is, so no power mirrors for me but I will likely wire in the heaters and lights so I have those working as we spend 75% of the year in the cold so they would be good to have.

Yea I got all my donor parts for my 08' to 04' swap from an XL and im paying for it on the mirrors now... They are manual everything, no heat, no lights... Didnt think about it at first... Conversion is tieing up all my funds so I think Ill go all stoneage for now until funds are more available in the future... Atleast my 04' ones had power, heat and light so Ill have the wires there whenever I want to use them...

Stoneage is ok :) Those damn Ford power mirrors are so expensive when they stop working it just isn't worth it for me, I abuse my crap too much to spend that coin on some mirrors. Just going with some 1A or similar manual mirrors myself too.

08 style or old style? If they are 08 style we might be able to work something out, my cost is pretty decent on them though, let me know I'm in no hurry.

That's the one! Check the shipping off eBay, eBay offers good protection for buyers/sellers so usually it isn't too bad, just buy from a US based shipping company/outlet not something overseas.

Also this one from Amazon has free shipping... price was cheaper before maybe bookmark and wait for a sale?

Good luck!
