Did a bit a searching, but couldn't find anything solid. Anyone try using a 08-10 5r110 filter in a 03-07 Mag hytec 5r110 pan. I know the stock 03-07 pan won't work, but wondered if the mag hytec will work. Thx

it should. the only issue on the stock pan is the filter hitting the bottom.

It will not work as the support rails in the bottom of the pan are different to accept the wider filter or thinner filter to my knowledge.

It will work but it will have to be modified. You will have to grind the supports to clear the deeper filter as well as clearance the front of the pan.. This is what I had to do to mine.

Damn...must be the inside of the 08+ 6.4 Mag hy-tech pan is a little different then than the 6L Mag hy-tech pan. I would've though since the 6L and 6.4 basically have the same trans...the mag hy-tech pans would be identical.

If you look at a late 08+ Mag hy-tech next to an earlier one you can see the difference in the front of the pan. The later ones have a more square front to clear the larger filter. That is why they now sell two different models.
