Have an 08 that has a Minimaxx, 4" downpipe, 5" straightpipe, s&b intake, and flo-pro egr delete. had no issues until i did the egr delete, now I am puking coolant from the degas tank. I have no power loss, but keep puking. is this head gaskets? I am trying to sell the truck, would i be better off repairing then selling, or just taking a hit on the sale and advertise it as needing repaired? thanks!

did,you block off the upper hose from the egr returning to the degas bottle? if you got the elbow with it? and could see if the cap it self is just bad

I have close to the same mods and mine does the same thing, I ve had pressure test done and it's not a head gasket, from what I've read it's just something they do on big tunes. I'm not sure about yours but mine only did it after a hard wot pull. All I do to keep it from puking now is keep less fluid in the bottle. Hope this helps

I run the HD 300 on mine all the time dd it and give it hell at times also and I've yet to have it puke once on me. Plus mine stays within the oem specs on the degas bottle but I do run more because of the sinister filter system

i bought a new cap and still have puking issue. it's only when I really hammer on it though, i took it down to the "wild" tune and am driving it easy and no problems yet. if it were a head gasket, would there be other signs? like less power or milky oil? because i'm not getting any other signs or anything

are you talking about the hose with the "T" in it? if so, i just took the "T" out and ran the other line to the degas bottle, the line that went to the "T"

yeah the top line is plugged off. and if it's running and I loosen the cap it bubbles and the level raises in the degas bottle

The best way to test is get a pressure gauge that goes up to at least 20psi. T it into the coolant hose from the radiator in to degas bottle. I would get a jose long enough so you can pug the gauge somewhere you can see it while driving. We used to tape it to the windshield and Rick if under the windshield wiper. Get it to operating temp, at WOT it shouldn't build over 16psi. Over that, it's either time for gaskets or if your not deleted, egr cooler. There are other issues that can cause over pressure, like a restriction in the cooling system or air flow to radiator. But most of the time it's gaskets.
