1/2 inch over shock lift height.

I have FOX 2.0 IFP reservoir shocks up front rated for 5 inch lift on a 16 f250. I wanna go to 5.5 inches of lift up front. Will being 1/2 inch over shock rating hurt the performance of the shock/ride?

Can't comment on Fox shocks. When I raised mine to 8" Icon said their shocks supplied with their 7" inch lift would handle the additional inch with no problems.

Really need to check maximum shock extension versus extension at ride height versus shock extension a max extension of suspension.

Or call Fox and have them check the part number.
