Guys,
Today while running around for short trips, my tranny temperature spiked to 245 before I noticed. It started to whine with RPM. I stopped for about 20 minutes, and when I got back in the truck it was down to 214, then jumped to 232, where it stayed for the short trip home. I checked the fluid and it was good, no burning smell, nothing odd.
The whole time the truck shifted and performed fine. I should also add that until that quick drive home, the truck had been trying to complete a regen. Seems like once the regen stopped, temps dropped.
I am going to take it to my guy on Monday, but I'm anxious now as to what it could be.
Truck has 74K miles and this is the first time it's done this.
Thanks,
Ryan
