I totally think doing a build with your girl is cool. My fiance and I are white boarding our '99 build right now!

When you lay out the time, money and dedication beforehand it's easier to do a build together.

Wow my hats off to you, very cool build. Couple of questions though, what coating is that on the exhaust manifold that looks like polished chrome? And what coating is that on the turbine housing (ceramic)?

Nice job man, that is going to be one bitchin ride.

Thanks the exhaust manifold is a High Tech Turbo one its all stainless and i had bullseye polish it for me
As for the turbine housing it is ceramic coated
I am going for the magzine article when i am done.I hope to get the rear axle setup when i get home a AAM 11.75 :evil

Awesome, I was thinking of coating mine but then saw that and thought WTF did you do to make that cast iron look like chrome LoL. Oh well guess I'll stick with the ceramic.

If you wanna put a Cummins in my 85 I wouldn't have a problem with it :poke:
this 89 project has been going on for about a year and a half and price on the build so far is about 17k

it only cost $50 to coat that housing
Same with my girl! haha She starts next semester....
my plan is to have it running before w have kids

this 89 project has been going on for about a year and a half and price on the build so far is about 17k

17K is little price to pay for basically a new truck.

After seeing your build threads I know this is the way I have to go with a new truck, 87-91 f350 CC 4x4 92-97 front end and a Cummins swap.

The only reason going for a 87-91 truck and swapping front ends is so I can have the 87-91 dash! The 87-91 dashes look the best by far, JMO.
