1997 fuel pressure

Hey guys I have a buddy who has a 1997 7.3 and when stabbing the throttle it has a bad hesitation I tested the fuel pressure at the fpr port and at idle its reading between 50 and 52 psi and at wot its dropping down to about 32 psi. Is this normal or what is the psi suppose to be?

Pump is shot get rid of the mechanical pump it is a POS. Give Jake a call he has a OBS fuel system for our trucks and they work great and really smoooth out the idle.

How much do they usually run?

Look in the Library here in the OBS section for a fuel pump install.

about 1000 but if you ever have to remove HPOP or IPR it takes 10 minutes compared to 2 hours.Also makes the lifter valley nice and clean
