2000 7.3 starting problems

I just bought a 2000 7.3 6 speed. All stock. Put new batteries in it and it also needed a new starter. Dealer said it needed a new EBP tube and sensor. Yesterday it just cranked no start. Throwing codes for ebp sensor, ebp circut. With the key in the on postion the windshield wipers turned on by themselves and the radio wouldn't turn on. The fuel gauge kept going up and down as well. What could the problem be now?

Sounds like the GEM module in the back of the fuse box is messed up, usually from a water/windshield leak.

Is the WTS light coming on/off like normal? Any way to read ICP? Is the Tack moving when you crank it? Check fuses? Doublecheck batteries and be sure you're getting above 10.5v while cranking.

WTS is working fine. Tack is moving while it cranks.batteries are both good

Did you try starting it with the ebp sensor unplugged?

No. With the ebp sensor and tube being brand new, why would they be the problem?

Could be the harness. Does it smoke from the tailpipe. Does it have fuel pressure. Check to see if the HPOP reservoir has oil in it within 3/4 of the top.

Dealer found that the alternator is bad. Does this sound possible with the given symptoms?
