Yes. The bearing seizes to the shaft. When you take the hub out and the joint still turns, you got problems. LOL

Ok. Someone was asking me that. My answer: "Something seized up" lol

I did say that it would involve pulling the front axle apart.

Ugh. Anybody use the Dorman shaft yet? I think my shaft was so grooved it tore up new bearing.

I don't even know what caused this to begin with....

If the shaft is grooved at all it will take out a new bearing. However, shouldn't cause quite that...

Is the wheel missing? I can't tell what I'm looking at..

Lmao. Submerged in mud. Yea I gotta get this stuff done before winter. If the shaft took out the new inner I'll just order new shafts.

I would NOT run acdelco joints or anything other then spicer or ford. And there is not much difference in the price.

So I took the whole drivers side apart over the weekend. The inner wheel bearing seems to be doing its job. The vacuum hub seal is all messed up. Went ahead and replaced the u joint for giggles but noise is still there and highway speed vibrations are not getting any better. Not sure where to go from here.

The shop was the least bit helpful. Got under my truck and checked everything. Noticed some movement in my rear driveshaft. Took it out and sent it out to a shop for a rebuild. Installed it last night and everything in the world is right again.

I think the sound was coming from just below me at the center bearing in the driveline. When coming to a stop, it was bouncing around. It definitely sounded like it was more towards the front. But it's gone now. So pretty clear it was in that rear drive shaft. Shop said everything was worn.

Nice when a head scratcher gets resolved... youre lucky the joint didnt come apart going down the road. Thats when stuff gets torn up.

Very thankful nothing broke loose while driving. Now to focus on a turbo for my next mod. Need to clean these injectors up quite a bit
