2008 f450 keyless entry

My dad bought a 450 a few weeks back, the seller said that he never had any remotes. So i bought new remotes and tried to activate the programming through the sequence provided in the manual. Needless to say, it didnt work. My question is, is there anyway that the dealership can "unlock" the keyless entry option or is it a lost cause

I could be wrong but I believe it if never had keyless entry before that you need to buy a module and have the PCM reprogrammed for it through ford

ok thanks, i wasnt sure if keyless entry had a seperate module or not.

does keyless entry have some sort of box or receiver for the fob signal somewhere in the circuit?

sounds like the GEN module, apparently the current module lacks the code and remote reciever
