Been meaning to introduce a real good buddy of mine here for a while. Earlier this week my buddy Justin bought a 2010 6.4 with 40k miles for a hell of a deal from a Dodge dealer a ways south of us. He had an LMM Duramax previous to this that he got rid of in favor of something better :D

On to the good stuff. The truck was bone stock when he bought it with the exception of a gooseneck hitch and a transfer flow tank. As of last night, the truck had been tinted and we got his AMP steps put on. Huge difference already.

On the way home from picking the truck up, we stopped by Elite and picked up a 71. Huge thanks to Tadd for helping out there. As for the rest of the pile of parts coming, he has a minimaxx that he will be running GearHead tunes on, an Icon leveling kit, some HID's from retro-solutions are on the way, some fuel Nutz 20x10's and Toyo AT's.

It will get a few other cosmetic things like painted lights, tan delete, recon mirror lenses, etc.

Here she is when he picked it up!

Nice looking truck. You are going to love that 71mm turbo.

Thank you sir. I am a big fan of that turbo, I actually installed one of the first ones for testing on JDs truck at my shop awhile back, been in love with it since. I have to admit coming from an LMM this truck rides so much better and feels 10 times more solid. I'm more pleased with my decision every time I drive it.

Just think, your truck that weighs almost 3x what your Evo does, is gonna blow its doors off at Bandi LOL

The Evo still waxed JDs truck on the street. But at bandi the stock clutch and 35 series rubber hates the 60'. Only ran a 13.2 spinning the hole way. Weight with me in was 4130. What does this 250 weigh? I think JDs 350 comes in at around 8200?

Ppfffffffff we can try that again lol. Yours won't weigh much different than mine. With tailgate and spare out mine should be around 8200.

Little update.

Last weekend, Justin and I had a couple projects to tackle. Justin got his turbo in with a quick hand from me where it's nice to have 2 sets of hands. He also got his exhaust, intake and tuner in.

HUGE thanks to Matt at Gearhead for getting Justin's tunes done. He has bent over backwards several times for me personally as well as my friends. Can't thank you enough buddy.

I'll let Justin chime in on how the truck drives, I haven't been in it yet.

Another huge thanks to Steve at Absolute Performance for finding a tuner for Justin and getting it shipped out quick! Couldn't have done it without ya!

Over the weekend I ditched my Dirty Diesel cac pipe in favor of a no limit pipe, so Justin inherited the DD pipe. He got that cleaned up and installed as well. Pretty successful weekend considering Justin's wife didn't shoot him.
