Is still fluid on top of the shock even if it bottoms out. Like I said, that is most likely happening and why the truck rides like you describe. I do not think that you need to replace the coils, you would be better off just getting a cheap spacer to make it work correctly over putting in new coils.

So long as the truck sits at the correct height and is not sagging, thiers nothing wrong with the coils.

I just learned alot about my truck after reading the description of what your truck is doing, because my truck does the same thing. I have Icon 2.5 inch lift coils in the front and 2011 leafs in the rear with bilstein 5100s all around.

A more firmly dampned set of shocks will probably improve the ride more. Or maybe 5160s, the two inch bilstiens with resivoirs.

I can't find an exact number but I read 76-81. Does anyone know what my height would be w/ factory specs: 275/70/18 6.4 4x?

Thanks!

it's kind of a pain due to lifting he chassis only

but on a stock height it just requires the shocks unbolted and the sway bar

maybe unclip the ABS line takes about an hour to do mine on a 8 inch lift ,,

wonder if you have a snowplow prep ?

I don't like Bilsteins but they should dampen the truck and not let it bounce
I have the Fx4 package, as well as the camper package. Is the camper package what is making a ride difference? Getting Icon next month but just wondering what difference would be. Thanks!

Depends on the package
Some basically just come with an alternator
Some come with a computer selected spring 1 up from standard (excluding heavy duty front end) which is most trucks, so some dont actually get springs.

I might have set of stock springs i will sell you, my leveling kit is just a hair high in the front so i might try 6.2 springs and see if that lowers it about a half inch to an inch

hey thanks man i really appreciate the offer. i'm gonna wait for my Icons to go on next month, that way i'm not doin a coil swap twice in 5 weeks.

Can you explain this 1up spring a bit more detail?
Would this cause the truck to ride a bit rougher when there isnt a load, since I assume the coils are designed for when you are having a huge load in the back end?

I do notice when I have a bumper trail or a good load in the bed that the truck is somewhat smoother...

Its hard to explain, you might be better off and going to ford and building a truck, its under the options

But it basically says if you select the snow plow package the springs are computer selected 2 above factory
For the heavy duty front end it says something like springs are 1 selected over

All of the options say not compatable with each other, so if you select the snow plow package it will not work with the heavy duty front end package, or the camper package will not work with the snow plow package or whatever

But as i read it some were the same front springs, except the camper package, which mine has

My truck seams to ride just fine, as good or better than my 08, i just want to get the front end down a bit with a softer spring
