would this truck still be able to tow?

Absolutely. Typically, you would want to lock out 6th and use appropriate tuning. With that being said, if you're looking to tow near the maximum limit as provided by Ford in the stock configuration, this would not be the rig for you.

10-12k should not be an issue, but it has not been tested on this truck. The controlling factor would be EGTs.

We customized the tuning to stay within the efficiency of the turbocharger through on-site testing/tuning. The engineer who did the tuning and myself did a few hours of manual gauge reading at different loads to make sure the charger would remain within its pre-determined map and temperatures would be healthy.
