I'm going this Thursday to check out a new truck. Looking at a 2016 F-250 6.7 brand new. Truck has the 3.55 gears. What are all of you seeing for MPG out of these running highway speeds of 70-75. Obviously I'm looking for stock numbers as this truck would stay stock while under warranty.

I'm also looking at the Ecoboost F-150. I know the 6.7 won't compete with the 3.5L Eco engine as far as mpg goes but if it's not too far off I'll just go back into the Powerstroke.

Thanks!

do you tow?

Not much anymore. My wife and I may be looking into a camper in the near future. Obviously both trucks would do that just fine but the 250 chassis would handle it better and open up the options on that more but I won't base the truck choice on that.

Driving habits and conditions are everything with mpg, but 14-15 on the low side. 17-18 on the high side.

Can't give u accurate info but just got mine last friday.. around 11 mpg lol(drove on highway about 80 miles) only has 118 miles on it though currently. A couple friends of mine say that's about all I'll get until the ******s and tune come. Not worried though - it is fortunately not my everyday driver. I know I spoke way to soon but let me get a couple fill ups and hand calculate it.

I've driven mine about 6 hours straight with one regen with me and the wife and kiddo and luggage in the truck. I got 19.6 miles to the gallon. It drops fast when it goes into regen. Before the regen I was running 20.8 mpg.

I took the truck to Florida, about a 12 hour drive, with the trailer and a golf cart loaded up and a bed full of tools and luggage and the wife and kiddo and got 16.6 mpg.

It really depends on the hills and load on what you will see. The speeds I was running ranged from 65 to 75 mph.

I'm averaging right now around 16 mpg around town. I'm easy on it. A lot depends on the driver in the city. A little less pedal goes a long way with these things

I'm completely stock.

If you get 16 highway, you're doing good. Best I had was 15.6 prior to weight loss, but I like to drive 75-85. Dash showed a full mpg better than the hand calculated mpg above. It got 13-14 mixed and 12.4 the one full tank I ran in town. Pre-weight loss mpg was 13.97 for 5,085 miles. Since then it has gotten 14.98 mpg overall with a bit more town driving in 14,972 miles. With a best of 17.87 highway and worst of 12.4 town and lots of playing.

My wife's 2.7 similar drives gets 17.5-19 around town but last few tanks has averaged 18.3 and it gets about 19 consistant at 80 mph

The 15-16s definitely suck at fuel economy compared to the 11-14s. I had a crew cab short bed 2011 4x4 with 35x12.50R20s d-eleted and I could get (hand calculated) 20 mpg easily out of that one on the interstate and 15 city. My 2016 regular cab long bed with 3.55 gears, 35x12.50r18s, also d-eleted and I was LUCKY to see (hand calculated) 15-16 mpg on the interstate, 12-13 city. And that was me driving the speed limit and babying it. Seems to be pretty hit or miss with the 15-16s as far as whether you will get good fuel economy out of it. I was one of the people who definitely did not get very good fuel mileage out of it. But the power was definitely better out of my 16 vs 11, so I guess thats your trade off.

I'm only on stock 18s with 3.55s and I get about 15-16 mixed but on the 3 hour drive to my cottage all highway, I average just over 20 going 75 for 2 hours then 60 for 1. That does include a regen. I do drive pretty conservatively and have done hand calculations and my dash is actually lower than the real mpg

As accurate as I can show you. Started the Jenny Craig program back March '15.

I have a stock '16 XL CC 4x4, with 3.31's. @ 6,000 miles, my lie-o-meter shows 19.1 from day one with occasional light towing. Mostly used as a drive to work rig, 20 miles one way on a two lane highways @ 60mph. Hand calcs show about 1 mpg less. It gets about 1 mpg less than my Toyota Tacoma that I drove for 16 years, go figure, but lots more fun.

OP, off subject for you, but what are you seeing real world out of your '13 6.2? I have been seriously looking at them.

UPDATE: I went with a loaded out F-150 Ecoboost instead of the 6.7. I will be looking for a used 6.4 or 6.7in the spring/summer.

The 6.2 was giving me 9.5mpg on my way to work which is really just 3 miles of backroads into our little town. On the highway with the cruise set at 75mph it would get around 14.5mpg. It wasn't the mileage that bothered me so much as the power that wasn't there, the truck was a turd. I got the F-150 for a nice truck and I'll pick up another PSD to beat at some point.

Sorry. 6.0 guy here and 6.7 admirer. What changed from 2015 on to make the mileage drop?
