I have a 2015 6.7 with 405 miles on it and used 34 gallons of fuel already.. Is this normal for a motor that is this new ? The miles were all highway at about 70 mph.. Thanks for any input

Shouldn't it go up slightly, once you get it "broke in?"
Or is that a thing of the past?

That's what a few members here have reported with older model trucks. I'm skeptical it will get better with mileage, in stock trim.

My 15 seems to favor the 16 mark as well. My 11 got closer to 18-20 mark.

Once in while under " ideal" conditions, no regens, light traffic, low head winds I've seen as high as 18.6 or so for a average of 100-150 miles.

Plus it seems to regen right about every 150 miles.

My dad has 2600 on his 15 and he is cussing because his 11 scsb got 20 all the time, the new truck is a shade over 11 and under 12. He said his Cats get almost as good mpg with 46k lbs behind them.

I bet it wont be around long if it doesnt go up soon. That was why he ran gassers until the 6.4 was discontinued.

15 F250 SWD SB 4x4. I'm getting 13.7, mostly city driving... When I am strictly hwy I get anywhere from 16-19, depending on driving conditions. I have 3k miles on it now.

It seemed like the mileage had already been coming down on the 13-14 trucks from what I've been seeing on various forums. What was causing this? Programming changes? How are the competition doing right now?

Hmm. The neighbor has a 13 and he's claiming 17-18. My friend Dave has a 14 and is claiming 19+.

Please explain lol

Because I've had mine longer than about anyone. It got shi**y mileage from day one and everyone said there is no way.

I guess having a larger turbo that doesn't spool quite as well as the 11-14 trucks makes for a little drop in mileage. Idk.

All I know is that in May I said that. And I've heard it from a lot of people since.

I've got 7k miles on it and the dash hasn't moved from 11.5 mpg in a while. I don't care how inaccurate it is. It's not getting 14-15mpg. Much less more. I could get 14.5 all day long with my 11 and a s366 pushing over 500hp. And I didn't drive that thing easy at all.

Hopefully tuning will bring these things around.

My dad always said the 2011s would probably be one of the best years. Turbo Issues aside.

They had to make a big impression because of the bad luck with the 6.0 and 6.4.

Now that they have the market back, theh aren't going for top mpg anymore. But who makes more power.

At least , that's my 2cents. And I'm probably way off..... I still drive drive a 7.3. LOL
