What’s wierd is that I haven’t got that throttle code since. And it’s been acting up more and more. I’ve been trying to monitor things on forscan while driving to see if I can pinpoint something but I’m not really sure what I need to be looking for

When you say acting up, is it just bucking and jerking, or are you getting all the advance trac and abs faults still? Also, is this thing tuned and free flowing exhaust, or stock?

It’s all stock and I mean when you drive it starts surging and bucking or jerking I would compare it to acting like it’s running out of fuel. But when it starts doing it if I set the cruise it all goes away

In the engine compartment, where the cold side cac tube connects to the intake, there is a throttle plate. The connector is kind of on the bottom of it, so it’s kind of a pain in the ass to get to, but try unplugging it, and see if your issue goes away. It’s really common on tuned trucks, to have an issue kind of like what you’re saying. So just to rule it out, try unplugging it

6.0 tech so I unplugged that and went on a 15 mile test drive the route I always do and it didn’t act up at all. Normally in that drive it would have been giving me issues most of the time. So what does that mean and what’s the fix ? Replace it ? Leave it h plugged ? Will it set a CEL eventually ?

I would leave it unplugged for a couple more days just to verify it did fix it, and it’s not some stupid coincidence. And then, if it doesn’t throw a check engine light, then I’d just leave it unplugged. If it does throw one, then replace it.

Drove it over 100 miles and no issue. The CEL did come on. Can I just take the butterfly out of the throttle body and plug it back in ?

I don’t see why that wouldn’t wouldn’t work. It may throw an egr flow code possibly, but I’d for sure give it a shot.

You’re totally fine. You’re helping me I’m on your time. I just appreciate the help. Ford dealers around me are 3-4wks out, it’s 90+ degrees here and we use this truck 3-4 times a week just trying to figure it out not trying to be pushy. I tried if in heat mode the other night and it did blow out just not at full speed like I had it set on

Update I took the throttle plate and screws out and plugged it back in and no CEL and runs like it use to so I’ll leave it like this until I get around to replacing the throttle body
