want to lower my truck down a bit and do the 20x12s on 420s. looking at wheel prices, i might just leave it the way it is unless someone knows a cheap wheel that i dont? will never spend 400-500 bucks per wheel because it is not a show truck, will be in gravel and dirt and pulling and sand and snow and salt and roads and parking lots with curbs and what not. anyone know some cheap yet good wheels?

I'm the same as you...I can't see spending 400+ on a wheel when i know it's gonna be put to work...keep thinking of changing my setup but ain't spending that much...

yea, just cant justify 1500+ for wheels. thats money that i could put to more fun than looks guess. would be comfortable spending around 800 bucks, 1000 max so this probably wont happen. just hoping for an awesome wheel that i can get for pennies on the dollar haha

Gonna be hard to find at $250. I just went to the cheapest rim website I know and only 2 rims under $250 and then it jumped up to $275 range

ill give that a try, skeptical about used things. not about the items themselves generally, but about the money transferring and getting what you bought.

Being you are from MN, give Westside tire in Corcoran a call. Talk with John an see what kind of deal he can get you. Awesome shop and smoking prices. I've bought a lot of tires and one set of wheels from him. (763) 420-2100

This thread is awesome! I've been looking at wheels/tires but they cost so much I would rather put that cash elsewhere. Just having a hard time justifying that money but may just bite the bullet for some 20x10's and 35's. It's only money right.

The price of wheels is pretty crazy-- but, the issue I have is that the 'cheaper' ones are heavy as hell. Ive run into this with the Mustangs also and other car stuff. You want the nice, well engineered stuff...be prepared to pay.

I love the look of 35"s on 8-9" 20s. The stock wheels are the cheapest and lightest that I can find in 20s, so Im going to put something together with them soon. Got my 8 spoke 20s for 300 bones..

yea, if anything i want less rotating mass, but 20x12s all seem to be real heavy. almost think it would be more than my stock wheels with 35s.
