250psi on early 2004 6.0 bad hpop or ipr?

I replaced the ipr and pressure is up to 250psi. Screen was cracked and had what I later discovered was gasket material on it. Did an air test and found leaks on the passenger injectors. Replaced o rings on injectors and oil rail. 2nd air test exposed the new weak link on the driver side injectors.

I'm still in the process of replacing all the o rings on the driver side, but tonight I was changing out my oil cooler and found the screen intact, but completely covered in gasket material. Now I'm afraid I may have starved and cooked my hpop pump.

I know I need to finish my o rings and do a third air test, but could a bad hpop make 250psi with all these leaks? Any other way to test the pump, or do I have to put it all back together and turn it over to see if it makes pressure?

Was hoping to get some feedback, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. Replaced all the o rings in the injectors and hpop rails and there were no leaks found all afternoon. I'm doing a bullet proof oil cooler and ported intake also, and today things finally started going back on the truck. Hope it starts when all is said and done.

Damn near every bad ipr I've dealt with on a 6.leaker showed close to 250 psi on a scanner. I've seen otherwise of course though.

take and apply air to the top of the pump.put your finger on the bottom and tell me if you feel air.if you feel air then your pump is most likely bad.but it could still start the truck but just be sluggish as hell.the pump is basically bleeding off inside it self.

if the truck won't start i will bet the swash plate has spun inside the pump and it has messed up the pump timing.did you do an air test and pull filter and see if you could hear it gurgling in the oil filter housing.

If there's trash at the IPR then it's gone through the pump. If the pump is not already bad it's for sure not good for it either. So you can change it now and not think about it again, or cross fingers, see if it starts, and hope it doesn't die 50 miles into the middle of no where.

It's holding air pressure applying at the IPR port using a fitting now. I put new o rings in all my hpop rails and injectors. Not it makes 419 psi. When I changed my oil cooler I found most of the gasket in the screen of the hpop sump. There was no gurgling from the valley of the engine at all when I did the air test.

Just out of curiosity I plugged my air fitting and screwed it into IPR port. It made 1800psi pretty quick. I'm going to swap in another IPR, and I also have a spare pump that should be here tomorrow.

If th swash plate has spun can someone like terminator engineering fix it when they do there upgrades? I saw on another forum where a machinist found he had spun his swash plate so he realigned it and then machined three dowels between the and swash plate making it pretty much impossible to spin again. Way beyond anything I'm capable of, but is this something the t500 has done to it?

Update.... Always check your wires thoroughly. Wires to the IPR initially looked good. Pulled it apart further up and found the wires melted together. Fixed that and instantly had 1700 psi cranking....

At least I found out my oil cooler gasket was bad and did some preventive maintenance during this endeavor. Found my turbo bearings were shot so in the time my truck has been down I got a ported intake, turbo bpd oil cooler relocation kit and fixed all my potential hpop leaks.
