Guys. Need some input on this combo. I think i want a at tire for this but nothing super big. I want to keep the weight down but still have a wide tire. I picked up a 305-55-20 toyo at2 but it is way too wide for a 8" wheel. So I have come up with a 295-55-20 which is 1/2 " narrower and just under 33" tall. What is your opinions on this. 2wd makes it hard to decide because they cant be too big or too small.

This is the truck.

Yea I've done it myself until I got this particular tire. They measure 11.25 tread and are about 3/4 " wider than the bfgs 305-55-20 I've used. You can't even push the two beads to 8" with the tires off the rims. I don't want to be riding on the center of the tread. Toyo makes a 295-55-20 but they are more $ to go a hair smaller.

As stated people run 305's on stock tires all the time with no issue. Yours won't be any different than theirs.

It's not as issue I'm worried about. I'm asking if a 305 mounted on a 8" rim will look odd compared to a tire a little narrower. Just looking for opinions about how it will look cosmetically. Thanks.

I ran a 305/50r20 on my 2wd truck, thought it was a great size for it.

Looks great. I'm gonna be running the same setup eventually on stock 08 xlt 18s. I had pics of it on the truck but lost them when I got my new phone.

More to come to when I get the rest done. It's raining here today. The 305 is definitely the way to go!

Looks great. Not a fan of an all terrain tire on a 2wd truck by any means, but that whole deal looks right. *** I need to find a set of those for my truck lol.
