3rd brake light problems

So i got this problem with my 3rd brake light. Whenever i go to stop it pops the fuse. Any ideas what may cause it to pop? It also makes the speedo not work for some reason,which i find kinda weird. But any tips are appreciated

A short to ground will blow a fuse every time that power is applied to that circuit.

Have you taken the lense off to look at the light?

Pull the 3rd brake light assembly out and inspect it. Chances are that part of it has been melted/burned and possibly causing a short. Cheers!

Mine melted... Caused all kinds of issues. The biggest thing is an ABS light telling the PCM to keep the TQ. converter to stay unlocked!
