The back half will fit fine, the front pipe that bolts to the down pipe will be different. I just put a filter back mbrp dual for a 6.4 on my 2012 and had no problems, fit was perfect.

Do filter back exhausts actually sound any different? Seem pointless to me because the restriction is the filter not the pipe behind it. Or did u keep it for warranty and emissions

It will sound different. Sound waves will reverberate differently in a 5" vs 4" pipe, regardless if there is a restriction up-stream. Same as a 4" tip sounding different than 6" or 7".
I can't remember the source, but there is an equation for determining sound characteristics of an exhaust system.
Lw=Ew-(17.5*log(t))+(20*log(D))+(45*log(v))+1,870
where:
Lw=Sound power level
Ew=Efficiency factor of filter/muffler
T= gas temperature
D= diameter of tube
v= gas velocity
Obviously changing the pipe diameter post filter will change v & D in that equation, and to some extent T.
Now sure how to correctly implement it in a system with multiple filters, but I'm sure it can be done.

I only bring it up because it's fresh in my mind from class today. There is another equation for sound frequency, but I can't seem to find that one in my notes.

it is extremely hard to notice the sound difference in real life.

I had a dual 5" flo pro dpf delete on mine but wasnt happy with the fit. I ended up using the 6.4 filter back 4" duals and just ran some extra 4" pipe between it and the front pipe that bolts to the dowpipe.
