Thats funny because i gained 5mph switching and the first gear is so little difference you cant even tell and inputs are holding up fine now with some 1000$ custom shaft...a 5r110 period will not hold the abuse and shift as good as a built 4r100 period

U havent even Been back to the track since u had twins and broke a shaft every pass ... Shut ur pie hole, 5r will hold.

I don't buy that. Tuning is still progressing on the 5R as are parts and clutches for the 5R.
Slip. Clutches. Tuning. TC. Could be several different things. As I said in my post, I'm willing to be its something else. Who knows.
It really seems like the truck isn't making the power it used to. It lost like a half second and 9mph
If you are refering to me here, I think you're looking at the wrong guys facebook. Haha

Since when did you pick up 5 mph? I always thought your truck trapped about 124mph 5r and 4r? Seams to me like you went 11.2-3 on fuel with the 5r and then made the swap and picked up E.T not mph, correct me if im wrong but 5 mph is a HUGE gain, at that level its almost 100 hp

ive been to the track about 10 times since we will see in a week or so

And So whats it running now?

Moroni is running a 47re, not a 4r100 though.

Thats my bad i thought he was running a 4r.

At any rate Aarons truck doesnt make sense, but you would think Aaron and David would have made sure the truck is still tapping the same amount of RPM as before.

well its been proving in my truck until someone else starts making some 10 sec passes on a 5r that weighs 7600 pounds i call bs that it will hold...also clutches was a problem of the pass when i was running 11.3 in the quater only problem i had was keeping pump gears, converters, input shafts and intermidiate shafts and no matter if the trans was still good it would never run the same it would go 7.3, 7.2, 7.5, 7.1 in the 1/8

I picked up mph and et in the quater and could run consistent every pass

No one has ever been able to duplicate anything you have ever done, so why would it happen now?

My 5r doesn't hold for too long. Hell it barely shifts right going down the track. I can't keep directs in it for the life of me. And my truck makes alot less power than Craig's

I agree that so far you haven't had great luck with the 5R. That doesn't mean that there is no hope. There are 5R setups that you haven't tried. Hell, Erik's truck went 118mph at bandimere on 37's at 8900 lbs for the dpc. By the calculator, Erik trapping 118 vs you trapping 124, Erik's truck makes more power. Only a few horsepower, but you get what I'm saying. I don't believe that you would trap the same mph at bandimere as you do at home.

Erik's trans never skipped a beat at the DPC, and it ran very consistent.

He saying 118 at 8900 vs 124 at 7600 ... Eric puts more power to the ground. His trans is still perfect after 10-15 passes at 6000ft. You never had an elite trans though, way different than sun past rebuild.
