Engine died pulling trailer last night, battery symbol on dash was on . Truck would crank but no start . System check said check charging system.
So I popped the hood and driver side battery post and clamp was corroded, I wiggled to check if tight and the red cables to the clamp pulled away . Also battery post was loose and had an indention/penatration next to it. Wife brought me a new battery and clamp .

Where I messed up. As I put the red cables to the side to pull battery , they touched a bolt and sparked bUT I moved it away really fast . After installing new clamp and battery , tried to start but would crank/no start . System check still read same issue , so I towed it home to charge battery and test cell.

So this morning I put battery's back on , tried to start and still crank but no start . I notice the frame rail pump is not near as loud as before , can still here it click on but sounds week. Valve on fuel cooler shoots fuel when I check for pressure .

I'm new to powerstrokes, did the arching knock out a fuse/relay that's keeping it from starting or a sensor ? The rpm does move when trying to start so ruled out camshaft sensor . I was going to check top side fuel filter bowl for debri then start pulling fuses . I checked #72 & 74 and they was good. You guys have any ideas . Truck ran fine before ,no power loss . No smoke while cranking , glow plug indicator comes on then off , no check engine light or other dash symbols.

What do yall recommend next step to be . Since batterys was off all night charging , I didn't think a scanner can pull codes unless it's a good scanner. I'm debating ordering an AE to diognose but wanted to ask here before I go spending more $ , already cost 500 to tow it and my trailer home and 200 for battery.
