Damn that is moving out. Im ready for one of these rags to run a tuner shootout. I guess you dont want to alienate the potential advertising money of the losers.

This is my two best timeslips from when I went to the track a couple weeks ago. I had no spare, tailgate, tire tools, Jack, and under a 1/4 of a tank of fuel. My truck does have a sunroof and I hear that adds a little weight. But I'm wondering why I'm only running 103 MPH in the 1/4 while a lot of other crew cabs are running 2-3 MPH faster. It was about 90 degrees when I ran though to so that may be it.

As stated before all the big names are within a few hp of eachother, just depends on the truck, temperature, driver, etc. I have gearhead tunes and I love them, smooth shifting, very street friendly, and tons of power, little to no smoke (when spooled). It's always nice when traction is a problem on dry pavement in a nearly 8000 pound pickup ;).

You can drop 2-3 MPH because of temp. I bet it was humid too, which plays a bigger role than temp. What you need to really look at when racing is the Density Altitude. That will tell you with the weather factored in what the truck would see as the elevation of the track. Ex. you can have a track at sea level. Take Cecil on the east coast. In Jan-Feb time the the DA is -1500 ft or less. The track near me is 600' in elevation. Summer time the DA is in the 2000'+ range. In my car I drop more than 2-3 MPH from winter to summer.

So let me get this straight...............you 6.4 boys are runnin' 12.5-12.7 @ 103-105 in a 8000lb rig with an intake, exhaust and tune...

:toast:

Add that statement to the "you'll never hear a 7.3 owner say that" list.

i ran 598HP and 1099TQ with H&S default 250 tune S1M shifting and low boost fueling cranked on Diesel Doctors dyno.
08 F250 CCSB stock tires, K&N intake, 5" straight pipe.
According to the performance tester on the tuner i got 4.9 0-60 and 13.5 1/4 mile (i kno this probly wouldnt be the same as at a track but its just an idea)

Any dyno sheets?

I'm sure it was a high reading dyno or a really high correction factor. Remember, my truck made 637 on Rudy's Dynocom with stock fuel (other than ported fuel rails) and stock turbos. The next day it made 594 on David Dunbar's dyno. You guys know as well as I do that no dyno reads the same and a whole lot of them read really high.
