Well finally got around to installing my 6.7 fuel pump setup in the truck tonight. Have to mess with it a little more to clean things up, and turn down the regulator (jumped 8-9 psi compared to stock pump), but liking it so far. Too dark for pics right now but I will post them in the morning, as well as driving results.

Big thanks to Marty's diesel for making the kit for me, top notch parts, and amazing customer service!

Setup is 1/2 draw to 8an to pump, from pump to post pump filter, to splitter block, to DI reg return, 6an from regulater to 6.7 pump return side, out of pump to old feed pick up tube in tank. Pump is powered by a relay activated by stock pump harness.

Pics up... Still might change how things are routed but looks ok so far. The pump is a beast, had it powered backwards yesterday and it still fired the truck right up. Seems to start faster now too, maybe it maintains pressure better than the stock pump at start up? idk

cant figure out how to edit, but only reason I didn't go with Marty's reg return is because I already had a kit installed on my truck.

Don't laugh.. Took me 7 hours, I got my ass kicked by the tank when putting it back in, stopped for lunch, and had to go to home depot for a bigger drill bit for the new pickup straw.

lol there is always that one tool missing or overlooked for the job. Never fails for me at least

Yeah, I was thinking 1/2 inch draw straw, 1/2 inch drill bit.. not so much! I wasn't using a trans jack either, i was just using cargo straps to lower and raise the tank, was going to lift the truck but worked out just fine gound level.

does the return side actually pull? I guess I never paid attention to this before, but seems pretty cool.

The return side is temp based so if it is hot it goes back to the tank, if it is cool enough it can go back into the pump, its not required to hook up the pump this way, I just thought why not, little extra feed of fuel is never a bad thing.

No problems so far, drove it all over yesterday and last night, couple hundred miles, and its awesome. Not more than a 0.5psi drop in all of the tunes I have at all speeds, even when I mash it.

Looking at your mods... No injectors...

You should not have had any drop with the factory system...

no injectors yet, but with factory pump I would see a drop in psi wot on hot tune, 3-4 ish then it would climb to catch up, this pump doesn't even drop. Could be just a tired pump 220k on it. When I get injectors Then i will post up new results on how this pump setup does.
