Would need an adapter plate since bell housing is totally different...custom flex plate...plus they are a fair amount larger than a 5r especially the bell housing. Would be a cool swap though...don't know if a pcs could control it right or not.

Of course it's possible. If you give me enough time and money I can install ANY transmission in ANY truck. Is it practical? Not even slightly. I'll bet you could buy a brand new loaded 2016 F-550 or two for what this would cost to install the trans and make it shift. Will a PCS control this trans? No.

I think a well built 4r100 would be way more beneficial and much cheaper. The 4r100 has a lot of history and has proven to be a stout unit.

And the 6R140 is so much more complicated to operate than a 4R100 I doubt there will ever be an aftermarket controller that can operate it.

if there are guys running a 5R110 behind a 12v Cummins using a 6.4 TCM, I don't see why you couldn't run a 6R140 with the factory TCM as long as it was tuned correctly.

with that said, I would NOT attempt it

I'd sooner put a 5R behind a 6.7 than I'd put a 6R140 behind a 6.0

The amount of patents used in the control architecture in the 6r140 boggles the mind..... Only Ford can control it...
