Well the time has come for my PSD to be pulled out and cummins to be dropped in. I just picked up a 2000 24v out of an F650. It's a solid motor needs going over to check everything. I already have a p-pump cover for it.

This is what it's goin in.

The plan is to either run a NV4500 or NV5600. Which ever I can get a hold of.
Modded 160 or 215 p-pump
Head studs, valve springs, bigger cam, girdle, bigger fuel lines
Still not sure on injector size but looking at 5x.20, 5x.24 or 6x.24 sticks
If it needs pistons I'll drop the compression on it
Turbo will be either a 75mm to start as a single or do a 66mm/HT60 combo and see where that leads to.
My goal is to make 800 minimum fuel only and once that had been achieved and all the bugs are worked out I'll shoot for even more.

It'll be slow progress but I plan on having updates every week at least. Any suggestions are welcome as well!

Now to parts I'm looking for
A 160 or 215 p-pump
Dodge NV4500 or NV5600 trans
And some turbos

Cool build so far!

By the time your done swapping the med. duty parts over for dodge parts your going to wished you found a dodge 24v, unless of course you got a hell of a deal.

I just got done pulling the medium duty stuff off. The blocks and stuff should be the same right? I have a buddy in Knox, pa that has all the parts I need or knows which ones I need to do the swap.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the 6x.024 injectors, .120 injector lines, and do laser cut delivery valves, 5k, quick rate cam.

I'm kinda looking into aurora turbos but ill probably just go with the non purple versions of them. Kinda debating on running a 75/106 combo.

Should I keep my industrial mani or go to another one?

Thanks lyson! I wish the truck still looked like that though.

Trailer hauler I paid $700 for it with a p-pump cover. I'd say that's a good deal haha

I'd say your injectors are way over kill. I'd stick with a 6x18. That with a good setup pump will be plenty of fuel.

$700's a good deal for one. I had a med. duty 12v and played hell finding all the pieces for it that were for a "pickup truck" at reasonable prices, ended up buying most of it off a buddy with a junk engine. That's the only reason I mentioned it, sounds like your set on that though. The blocks and heads are the same for the most part to.

Iv been tempted to pick up a 12v as a spare motor just so I can have some things as core parts but haven't had the spare cash to do it. Well see how it goes when it's time to set it in the truck what all I need. Honestly so far it seems like some parts that are on it being odd ball that it is work out in my favor to be able to hook up to factory parts.

Ok I need some opinions here. Some things have changed in the plans of the truck. I want to hit 850hp and be useable. Like tow and not be a smokey pig. Again I'm doin fuel only.

I'm torn on what turbos to run. I'm thinking an S366 as the small no matter what. For the big charger I'm torn between the S475 S480 or S488. I'm leaning towards the S488 just cause it'll really clean up the top end. Will that be too large of turbos to make it useable? I'm thinking about still using the 6x.024 injectors just in case I decide to go bigger later on. Too much fuel? I'll have the pump set up to have adjustable CC setting so hopefully that will help with smoke. I need to make 850 fuel only and still tow decently.

Well plans have come up and it needs to be able to tow 25k. I'm sticking with my ZF5 and getting a destroked adapter plate along with a flywheel from Valair to fit the swap. Looks like the turbo size needs to come down some as well. Looking at S363/68/14 and an S480/96 T6. I think I should be fine with a set of 6x20 sticks as well.

Unless you guys think I can still make 850 and tow 25k safely. Opinions?

Well I haven't had a chance to work on the truck. Just moved into a new house and getting that situated finally.

So iv been doing some thinkin for the frame and I'm leaning to running a 4 link rear with Peterbilt air bags and a radius arm front with either coils or coil over shocks. Not too sure which route I should go with for up front. Also I am boxing in the front part of the frame and rear frame section as well with a big X brace between the two.

That sounds right. Well I'm not exactly sure on the nv5600 since they are a pain to get some parts for and it doesn't have the main shaft or tail housing. Might go nv4500

4500's are easier to find around here, I know its a pain finding a 5600. I believe there is more aftermarket availability for the 4500's anyways.
