We finally got my buddies 97 powerstroke running and now it has a constant white Hazz to it. Sometimes it's thick, it just depends. We're trying to figure out what could be causing it. I was thinking injectors but wouldn't it just blow smoke on start up if the injectors were bad? Just did buzz test and all 8 buzzed.

We have good oil and it's not making oil. Coolant level is not changing.

I am thinking about trying rev x but don't know if it's worth it yet since I don't know the cause. The truck sat for 3 months before we got it running.

OK we got cylinder contribution codes for 5 and 7 so we're swapping injectors 5 with 3 to see if it follows.

They didn't look bad a little black but not bad. It's it normal for the cylinder to fill with oil when you pull the injector?
Had to pull a glow plug to purge the system.

The failure stayed at 5&7...so I guess I need to do a compression test next?

When pulling injectors manual says to drain the oil and fuel rail. Local Ford dealer doesn't. Pull the power wire off the starter solenoid and touch to battery with glow plugs removed and valve covers on to shoot oil/fuel out of the glow plug holes.

Beings that 5&7 share the same valve cover harness plug, that is where I would look next. Make sure they are making good connection and in good shape.

You should ohm the harness. A good working harness can make all the difference.
