Here is what is going on.
The truck is a 1997 F350. As far as I know the truck does not have ABS brakes.
But when I got my foot to the floor and shifts from 2nd to 3rd, (hits the governor, still working with Andrew with this). any way when i hit the governor, the ABS light comes on. i checked for codes and there is nothing. So why is the ABS light coming on??
Any ideas. It does seem to miss a little with the light on, shut it off, start the truck and the light is out and i am back to the races again.

How are you checking codes? A scanner generally can't see the ABS Controller. Best way to check ABS Codes is to short the controller and count flashes.

They are in the factory service manuals (I've never searched them online or anything). If you port the code(s) (number of flashes) I can tell you what it is. Cheers!

With the key off look under the dash where the glovebox is. There is a red wire connected to a black wire with red stripe. Unplug them from each other and short the Blk/Red wire to chassis ground. Get back in the drivers seat and rotate the key to "run". Count and report any codes. Multiple codes will be separated with a long pause in the counts.

Hey Patrick, it's Matt from the Org. I don't get on here much but every once in a while I like to look around.
