What's you guys' opinions on this? I have an 06 f250 2wd that I wish to do this too. My buddy has one, just a Kindle Ranch instead of a lariat, and it's bagged and lowered with Mickey Thompson Street tires. Suggestions from the community would be nice, as I'm a newbie to the powerstroke network here.

Kindle ranch sounds sweet. Are the seats made out of tablets?

Aside from that trash programmer.... sounds like a great way to go with a 2wd..... may have a bit of a biased opinion though..... you looking to lay frame or just get a lowered stance?!?!?!

I want to get something that is practical for daily use, yet low enough for a 305/30/26 to be partially hidden by my fender.

Gearhead and Innovative are the two most popular here. They both have excellent tunes. Typically a new SCT is in the $425 price range, but if you buy direct from the tuner, they will toss the tunes in for free. Custom tuning is definitely the way to go. The tuner you use now is more of a "fooler" and tricks the PCM into adding timing and fuel, and not very carefully. More importantly, it also doesn't do squat for your transmission. The SCT can actually access the TCM and take control of your shifting appropriately.

I'll look into buying one of these SCT tuners. Do you have any ideas on specific brands of lowering Springs and blocks?

I'm not terribly familiar with getting it as low as you're looking for. You may want to talk to Trevor of PMF, he's a member on here and builds custom suspension setups. Most are lifted, but I imagine he could do something for lowered as well.

Most common lowered setups around here are the 5.4 gas job sprints up front and removing the block in the rear and possibly a leaf out of the pack as well.

4400 lb ford coils and pull the rear block.
