Hey guys, went to replace my stock airdog filter w/ the donaldson p551315 today and it wouldn't seal. Fuel just kept running out and into the bucket (no the truck wasn't on). I ended up having to put my dirty stock filter back on for now. Any advice is appreciated I really want to get a clean filter on there.

Check to make sure the bracket that holds the air dog to the truck isnt hitting the Donaldson filter. I had to move mine a little.

I ordered new air dog filters and they don't fit right. The center of the filter where the threads are is too high and it hits the plastic tabs that are on the air dog. Looked at my old filter and it sets lower and the holes are smaller where the check valve flap is. Kinda Wierd. Same p/n but the new filters have grey printing vs the blue . Check that maybe your filter is different.

its not the factory AD filter, it's another brand that filters better. Although I'm going to have to throw my spare AD filter in for the time being.

is there any way to stop the fuel dumping out of the air dog when I pull the filter out?

I think I'd do it sooner than their numbers. That seems like too many miles for filters.
