Today did a little more IA logging. Ambient temp 80F IA temp 84F Ambient temp 83F IA temp 90, 65mph cruising. My filter is located behind the passenger battery, not like Shones that has the battery deleted and runs the filter in its place. I think his set up may see temps a little more closer to the ambient due to direct air flow.

Anyone have a pic of this Elite filter?
Is it similar looking to the "Big Suck" intake Dirty Diesel was making?

Heavyhaul; Will right? I just saw a 6.7 with the S&B placement and now know what you were originally talking about. I didn't realize that the battery was behind the filter in the new trucks. That does look like a great way to set it up, but with the piping on the 6.4's I don't think it is possible without removing the battery (delete) and placing it on the frame rail.

Sort of, Elites is for the Max compounds and perhaps will fit the HP's too. It is a large pipe curving towards the front and the filter attaches where the battery used to go. It is 5" diameter where it clamps on and about 18" long. It is a AFE filter. Seen pics of it, can't remember where. Shone may post one later.

Its actually in the process of getting cleaned up right now.....it functions well but I thought it could look a little nicer. I will post pics of the end result.
The filter minder is also deleted with this intake.

I should have been more clear.....the filter minder is still attached to the truck but it just doesnt have a place to plug in on the Elite intake tube. The minder is zip tied out of the way while still being wired to the truck.

David (boostfed) is a neat freak with his builds and says he has some ideas.....I trust him to run with things. Deleting the battery tray was his first idea.

Shane is correct....battery goes to the frame rail. Mine is moving again from the frame rail to a toolbox in the bed because with the battery on the frame rail you cannot install amp steps. I also didnt like that you could see the battery box because it hung down a little.
I will post pics of how things turn out.

I think I'm going to go with the Elite set up but with a wall sealed to the hood to keep the engine heat out. I don't know about where I will but the battery. I'm not sure about the frame rail with as much mud I get into on the mine sites.

Put the battery where the intake is now. That's been an idea of mine for awhile now. I got Elites relocation kit so I have everything to place it elsewhere if needed. I'm almost positive the battery will fit up by the firewall on the air box tray with only some minor modifications to it.
