Alternator??

Yesterday night, I had to pull over to the side of the road and hit a pot hole hard. Didn't see how deep it was cause of the rain.. Took off and I thought everything was ok till I noticed the battery light coming on and off every once in awhile.. Dash daq monitor would turn off and on like it was losing communication with the truck.. Started hearing like a loud howling noice, thought maybe the fan clutch.. Well, I got home turned the truck off, and tried to crank it back on but nada.. Tried to see if I could get any codes, but the dash daq won't communicate with the truck.. What can it be? Did I fry something?

Well, managed to pull a code p0646.. Cleared it, and it fired up. But I still get the code.

That code is coming up A/C clutch relay, so I don't think that's your problem. Check the battery connections, pay close attention to the wires that bolt to the top of the connectors. Sounds like one may have been loose and got jarred when you hit the hole. The ones on the positive battery terminals is where I would start.

Checked all the battery cables, all good.. I'm also getting p008d code..
Have no check engine light on nor the battery.. Truck is running fine.. Puzzled
