Another minni maxx towing question

Just got it installed tonight and when I purchased it I didn't realize the pyro readings would be worthless. Not sure why? My Edge seemed to read them accurately?? So I am towing tomorrow and will be grossing about 18k or so. Do I dare run it in the tow mode? Or should I leave it stock until I can get the block off plate and sensor installed? I have been towing by the pyro for so many years with my 7.3 I am nervous to tow without an accurate reading.

Ok. So if that is true why does it not read correctly when the DPF is installed and running dpf present tunes? I only drove it for a day but I don't think I ever saw pyro 1 over 280*. Now it reads anywhere from 1100-1500*

I'm not sure where pyro 1 is located or how they have it scaled for DPF present, but for removed, it's scaled high to fool the ECM

If you have the correct plates for the EGT Probe, take the sensor out of your DPF/CAT.
It should be the first sensor in the exhaust. Screw it into the plates, and plug it into the factory harness and wa-la!!! You are now able to monitor you EGTs.

I don't have the block off plates yet, but I will plan on doing that. I found a page on H&S website with pictures an instructions.....looks pretty easy.
