Another no start.

Sorry for another no start problem but idk what it is. If i let the truck sit over night it wont start. It will crank all day but no smoke from the exhaust and it wont ever try to start just crank. Im in yuma AZ by the way and it only gets down to about 80 at night. If i let it sit in the sun and warm up a little though it will start up like normal no problem no hard start or rough idle. Ive checked the ficm, replaced the fuel filters, im in need of an oil change but its not over do. oh and my edge monitor will read zero for everything in the morning when it wont start but in the afternoon will work. any advice will be greatly appreciated

Does it build oil pressure on the gauge on the dash?

Yea it builds up after about 5 seconds of cranking

If it were the glow plugs i would think it would either just be a rough start and rough idle till it got warm but it doesn't smoke or anything when i try to start it. and when it does start during the day there's no problem at all. Im thinking something to do with the oil.

80F in the morning? Oil issue doesn't make sense to me.. 80F and it won't start at all and then in the sun it starts and runs perfect, I can't see those temps affecting the oil enough to make that much of a differance.. IPR headed south maybe..

To bad you dont have someone by you to swap ficms with and see if thats the culprit. Gotta start narrowing down the list.

Ficm could be your issue.. You need to get the truck scanned to know exactly whats going on cold..

I would completely remove the edge and see if that changes anything, could be simple as that!

It's the cts or cs monitor and not the edge attitude with juice correct? The edge tuner will destroy your truck..

its the edge tuner. It was in the truck when i got it. ive heard they suck so i usually kept it on stock and just used it to watch egts. Im gonna get an sct.

Get that tuner out of it asap, a buddy of mine bought a truck a few weeks ago in it. Ran fine until last night when I had to tow him to the dealership. The tuner deleted his PCM and tcm while he was driving over to my place. We ended up uninstalling the whole system and it cost him $90 to have everything reprogrammed.

wow well its out now so hopefully im safe from that. its running good right now but like i said. ill have to check in the morning cause thats when the issue happens. lets hope it was just the edge and i can have an sct on the way.

Good deal man, it might not fix it all together but taking that out alleviates possible problems in the future. I just switched to gearheads srl tune and I love it.
