Any ideas!?

I have my CTS monitoring several different PIDs. 2 of which are EOT and ECT. My EOT runs normal, but every once in awhile my ECT drops to around 180* and hangs there, maybe drops a degree or 2, for no reason. It's quite random and can't forcefully duplicate it. I know my EOT is not the problem. Has anyone else encountered something maybe similar!? Maybe T stat?

Sounds like the thermostat opening and closing to me...

I agree but it it throws the EOT ECT delta way out of whack.... Makes its over 20

What's the out side temp? My truck will run a 10* diff when it's cold pout side, unless I run my winter front, then it's a 2-5*.

Temp doesn't matter if its 90* or 50* out its done it.... Cruising at 90mph or 45 I will have a normal delta then all o a sudden the ECT drops out to around 180* and hang there forever, then suddenly shoots back up to normal. May not be anything, but I never saw it but a few times.

Sounds like the thermostat sticks open briefly and then closes?
