any one take out the tray under the back seat?

well i was wondering if anyone has taken out the tray. what do i need to do? its in the way. does it help hold the seat up? whats it for?

u need a torx socket and need to reinstall one of the bolts that holds the seat down IIRC

takes only a few minutes .

I don't really like mine stuff is like a slip and slide

but I wound up reinstalling it for some reason?? LOL

It's a load leveling floor. You can take it out. Heavy as hell. Just need to remove rear seat and unbolt. Reinstall rear seat

you don't remove the seat u can see all the bolts on top here and one or two at the seat attachment point in front

Guess it's been that long since pulled mine out. Lol. Think I removed my seat and tray as I was installing my stereo and jst didnt wanna put the tray back in

I'd love to take mine out, never saw the point of it when I've got an 8 foot bed right in back of the cab. Only problem is what to do with it after I take it out lol

This reminds me... I forgot where mine is. Took it out almost 5 years ago, in storage somewhere.


Like Zmann said, Big torx bit for all the bolts except for the 1 18mm "seat bolt" on the drivers side.


free's up storage space under the seat for misc stuff like jackets and gloves, fire extinguisher and what not. I still occasionally put larger heavy stuff in the cab but have never once had a desire to have that tray again.
