Got a buddy has a 15 F-250 with axle code 3L on the VIN sticker.

Newest info on axle code 3L I could find was 3.73 LS is it possible to have 3.73 from factory for SRW?

I thought the only option was 3.55 or 3.31 for 6.7's?

TIA

Man that would be sweet if it was 3.73's now! I get sick of my truck rolling coal and gearing down for every little hill going 65mph when towing my 12K trailer and 3.55's....

What's funny is that thing is bone stock and it the bottom end power is really strong no turbo lag at all.. I'm wondering if it really has 3.73's.. because if it really does that truck is special LOL.

Check the tag on the pan, a 3L31 would be a 3.31 LSD and so on. So if he has 3.73's it will say 3L73 near the bottom corner of the tag towards the bolt.

When I see him will be sure to check the tag on the axle the VIN sticker could be misprinted.

Gas truck.....sure. Diesel.....don't think so.

I thought so ,did KTP mess up somewhere building this truck? LOL.

Weird. Obviously it should be 3H or 3J. 3L is definitely 3:73 limited slip though.
Is there a tag on the axle itself?

I was surprised when I seen 3L.
