Baldwin filters are cheaper for a reason. Poorer quality filtration media, end caps, casings, and no oil check valve which is what keeps oil in the filter for startup. Their fuel filters also tend to be a higher micron rating and will let more through than a factory filter. I've worked at the local CAT dealer for over a decade now and we keep a display that shows the guts of competitors filters and theirs is one of them. Stick with Motorcraft, Parker/ Racor, Donaldson, Wix even.

Previous of my 6.0 used Baldwin filters because that's what they used on the rigs. 4,000 interval changes with 56,000 on it when I got it.

I get it bulletproof ed and come to find out my filter housing broke due to a non oem cap and filter (baldwin) and the motor suffered.

I know the 6.7 is a different animal, but OEM only for me on any vehicle after that lesson...
