Right now I'm running a 2.5" leveling kit, 35x12.50r20 toyo mts. I'm noticing that the non Vgt 6.0 likes the higher rpms.. I'm thinking about dropping down to a 33"... But I'm wanting to know what is gonna be the best all around size and Type of tire. The truck will see street, strip, pulls, possibly towing... I'm not really wanting to sacrifice looks but if it makes the truck drive better and handle the task it needs too I will drop the level kit to a 1" kit and go to a 33". Please give me you opinions on the subject, thanks!

I would switch to a 33-12.50 toyo AT. A 33'' tire will tow and pull better and spool faster then a 35" tire, and at the strip an all-terrain will have better traction then a mud-terrain. but 35's do look the best.

Very same thoughts Im having... plus 20s weigh more. Im not in a hurry to put the 20s on until I can make my mind up on 33s vs 35s.

That is my issue, I'm thinking toyo at2 but the size is what I'm worried about... 33s are gonna look tiny, but they are more functional... Motor would be happy with the 33s the all around performance would go up... Just gonna look goofy so small

I've always ran 33s on a 2" leveling kit. 33x12.50 or 305/55r20 are common sizes and will look good with a 1" level or stock height.

I will drop the truck if I do go down a size, I'm sure it will still look fine.

Either way you go it will still look better than a 16" wheel with 285's. So much sidewall so little wheel. Can't wait to get my 18's done and put on. I would go 33 if I were you and drop the level down. 35s weigh more and like you say it wants higher rpm.

I think a wide 33 looks pretty good...I always think that it's either tall, or wide...so maybe a 33x13.50

33" tire on a 20" rim seems to be popular here in nevada and in utah, mostly in the d-max crowd. I think it looks pretty good kind of an aggressive street look. But lts a straight street truck setup, if you camp or offroad you would destroy your rims.

Yea I guess it might be a problem...not really sure how much wider it would be, but if you go with just a 33x12.50 I would lower the truck down a little bit..

The truck spend 98% of it's life on the road... We see maybe 6" of snow a year... The rest is rain and sunshine

haha.... you and those Hummer tires

I really want 35s, but Gordo has been cautioning me against it. I'll spend more time in 3rd gear with a 9-10K load..

35's felt best all around in my 07. Granted it was making a lot of power but they seamed best for just a all around tire.
