What are the best tuners for a 6.4? I've heard bad things about Edge being Ford "killers" and what not. Yet I don't really want to pay $1500 for a Spartan! Any advice?

'08 F-250, Airaid Filter and up pipe upgrade, everything else is stock. I plan on a EGR and DPF delete in the future, and am looking for tunes to help with fuel economy and towing performance forr now.

U might as well get ready to spend atleast $1500, If ur not able to spend the money leave it stock. There are several good threads already that have all the info you will need. Just do a little searching in the 6.4 section. Good luck to ya

it all comes down to budget. ultimately, the best experience will be with be with custom tunes and whether you want to monitor or not.

If $1500 for the tuner is too much I do agree you should probably hold off, to get the real benefits you need to spend a little more than that for some custom tunes and if possible some "deletes" for your area. Some guys will pick away at it, get the exhaust mods with a cheapo DPF-R module only, then sell DPF-R to a buddy and get a true tuner of your choice after you have saved and decided on one, sooner you get that junk off the happier you and your truck will be.

I like the H&S MiniMaxx I have, although something like a Dashdaq would be nice for more gauges I find I can monitor what I need currently and adjust fairly quickly now that I own it and see how easy it is to change.

I'd get an SCT livewire or an H&S minimaxx with Gearhead tunes without a doubt and be done. Save you a lot of heartache down the road.

I run the Minimax with Gearhead files. That's the "Best" IMO. You get what you pay for. Theres NOTHING cheap about these trucks!

I run the livewire w/ tunes from Gearhead and IDP. Matt and Eric both always are willing to help or make changes.

There's an H&S XRT pro for sale in the classifieds that would fit your needs.

i'd buy an sct 3015R anywhere from 800 on rudys website for a new one or 1000 from others. new or look for a used one, then get a tune from gear head.
