Bump stops? Sled pulling 7.3 powerstroke

So im in my second year sled pulling do i really need solid bump stops? I know the less travel the better but it is really gonna make that much of a difference?

YES whs^^^... if its legal you want it as stiff as you can with a lil rake to it.
